I think the problem isn't whether she does the scene or not; the problem is that she gets carried away in the moment and makes things a thousand times worse. I can't imagine her doing the sex scene without losing control

She'll be back somehow(even if is not a logical thing to do) the author will try that.Remember that is fiction so thinking like a real life situation does not work out in so many times.
Arir doesn't seem to be making any moves to redeem sakura at all if anything she is sinking her character further.

How is the question I can not answer as well as when. It really seems Arir isn't interested in writing that story with shinobu.
No one knows, but it starts with a face to face confrontation instead of resorting to proxy fucbois and text breakups.
If you mean as her being endgame with Shinobu i agree but i think she wil make the two of them talk and start over as friends.
We will see I expect things to get stupider though.
