So far its looking a full speed ahead for Fumi route ending, but we did get an interesting development over on Sakura's side of things with Nagi coming into the picture and re-establishing a connection with Sakura. Chapter ends with Shinobu about to seal the deal with Fumi and no one with a sane mind would think anything could stop this course from completion buuuut....thats a question for 133 which is a bit of a cop out answer, anything can still happen, and 132 mirrors 128 quite closely like Arysis posted here.

It mirrors but also shows a big difference the foreplay between fumi and shinobu is reciprocal it's not oneside like it was with sakura and fuckboi. Absolutely nothing Shinobu did warranted being cheated on, Sakura simply did not have the fortitude to simply press him for answers about the kiss, and not once Sakura expressed she was feeling Shinobu became too focused on the project, she bottled everything and let it blow over with Yuma seeing the perfect opportunity to make his advance.

Worst of all is what she did afterwards, Sakura didn't throw Yuma off for taking advantage of her the day after, erasing any chance she didn't partially consent or thought Yuma was solely to blame for it, nor ran to Shinobu to explain herself, Sakura simply took that as a sign she really should break up with Shinobu, since in her tiny little mind both of them have cheated so there is no saving their relationship, thus cutting all ties with him through text.

That is the most cowardly act anyone can ever take when breaking up, if you ever valued a relationship that is, telling someone off through text is what you do to one-night stands whose name you don't even know. Not the person you had an actual relationship with, you know, the guy who got injured for you?

A sensible expectation is wanting Sakura to be confronted for her series of poor choices and assumptions without ever having the minimal common sense to actually have a serious conversation with her supposed boyfriend to either confirm her fears or erase them, Sakura choose to assume the worst possible and didn't bother patch things up when she made a grave mistake.

But of course, this is a Katsura Airi series, I would be fooling myself by expecting her flawed female characters to be faced with serious moments of self-reflection or accountability, if that happens it would be a major surprise.

I really do not think it's that deep, though.

She has been shown be the ntr cliché heroine who freezes and loses herself when the plot requires and bites noses when it doesn't.

So, even though there is the chance that she indeed resolved to move on because she thinks it will be the best for Shinobu, the events and reactions show that she was largely swept away by her own emotions rather than making conscious choices. If anything I think her lack of contact with Shinobu is more due to shame than wanting to set him free.

I also think that is very bad writing, regardless of the format, to hide points of view or inner monologues that were once shown just to generate suspense or for plot convenience. It's lazy. Because now everyone is going "what is she thinking" when previously in the story we knew exactly what was she thinking.

For example, after her "private guidance session" with the director, we knew what she was going through. And then now where it would be important we don't. It allows the mangaka to generate tension just by showing tidbits and leave the readers fill in the blanks and generate content themselves. Like we're all doing here.

The last chapter was a good one because it kinda broke the status quo and shows Shinobu moving on. But even now everything is open and the story can go anywhere. If we had known for sure if Sakura was still with fuccboi or what were her thoughts ("i did it all to set Shinobu free from me" vs "i lose myself so now this is my path and i don't deserve to talk to him again") the mangaka would have to work harder to make an interesting plot around it. Now she doesn't.

The author and editor did an interview it's old where they talked about sakura's character and mindset she is ment to be an unknown for shinobu they said something about he will have to suffer in order to gain so I really think his career and fumi is what he will gain. It's pretty clear that both fumi and yuma were made to be better versions of Sakura and shinobu granted fumi is better at communicating while shinobu loves. They both lose something only to gain. It's dumb but that was what they were going for.

Then, following the clues that appeared in the latest chapters and thinking backward, I started wondering why the author would so neatly cut away the heroine’s inner world, when that should clearly be the most interesting part of this kind of story.

Sacrificing the most important direct intuition just to create the effect of a final twist—I don’t know whether that can be called a good idea.

In discussions here and there, I occasionally saw people mention the idea of “disappearance,” which was a perspective I had never considered before. Then, combining that with some timeline clues I’ve recently been paying a lot of attention to—things that look like bugs—I very subjectively imagined a few key inner monologues, trying to escape the sense of losing control brought on by ignorance.

Unfortunately, I don’t like this ending, because if that’s the case, then it’s no longer a romantic comedy. It may leave you thinking about it for a long time, but all that remains are bitter afterimages. This discomfort is even stronger than my earlier doubts about the toxicity of the author’s writing.

After all, that was never why I started reading it in the first place.
