The thing is, even if Chapter 136 is the best chapter in the manga's history, I don't think it can save the ending, the last 10 chapters are a complete disaster. I think it would take one or two more volumes to save the manga.

This could serve as a lesson for Kodansha about the importance of having an editor who can keep things under control when dealing with a problematic writer. But I doubt it would be a lesson for Katsura Airi herself—unless something happens at the upcoming Comiket.

Wishing all the best for KA, she has built a solid career and can always fallback onto her Karamizakari money glitch. Maybe she'll keep trying to become a mainstream mangaka who knows, people can learn from mistakes (lul), GraPara! isn't exactly a disastrous failure and the ending isn't completed yet.

As for her Comiket thing, I truly hope no deranged fans act silly, 135 stung but no matter how bad, it never justifies physical protesting or nasty stunts. You never know, maybe KA will have such a good time at the event she'll feel a bit more merciful towards Shinobu's ending.

I completely agree, but the axe has fallen and the final chapter looms in just a bit under 2 weeks now....If 136 is a turnaround and is a good chapter we get to move on bit happier for it and that should be enough atp, can't expect much more out of KA, that in itself is a never-ending risk play

You have, and under normal circumstances with a normal thinking creator it would be all good fun as we can see certain predictions play out. With KA at the wheel though, sometimes it'll be a hit, sometimes a complete miss. I still have some reservations that ShiFumi could recover, but I also for the most part believe the damage has been done even if the scene doesn't progress any further beyond the naked make-out session that just started. In the same vein KA could brute force them sticking together to play it off as bait imo.

If Fumi's scene was actually just a nightmare stemming from Shinobu's anxiety before the actual filming day, then there might still be a way to salvage the situation. For one thing, besides Fumi not saying anything, she normally always wears a bra, so the fact that she suddenly took off her clothes and was topless feels rather strange.

But I don't think someone like KA would write it that way.

I don't think they can make that type of reveal in the final chapter for a side character but can't the chances of that are 0, but everything was shown pretty clearly here minus the nipples and so someone had a nipple pad theory cooking.
