Before this chapter the argument for this is much stronger, but the time skips and now this have made everything fair game.
The main problem is the forced drama that happened one chapter prior. Not a single thing before pointed into the direction that Fumi was feeling inferior to Sakura.

But on Soredemo, we already knew it was a twisted NTR relationship—it already had its own fanbase. In comparison, Grapara had a general audience—fans of rom-coms, NTR, and the general public—but it all went to hell with Chapter 129. Ninety percent of the people who were following it dropped it; only the few NTR fans remained, which is why the volume sold so poorly.
Soredemo wasn’t NTR, it was swinging

Exactly! Soredemo was swinging from the start with some cheating drama here and there. You know what you get into from the 1st ch.
While Grapara was promoted as a rom-com, but it was everything else lol

Exactly—in Soredemo, from the very first chapters, we already knew what we were in for. In Grapara, on the other hand, even though there were many NTR moments involving secondary characters the protagonists interacted with, Sakura always came out unscathed, so many of us thought that after 128 chapters, she was going to be saved in chapter 129—which is why the hatred is very justified.

You've got to be kidding? Between chp 129 -131 that's over 5000 comments.
I think that during the first few volumes, it averaged between 8,000 and 10,000 copies sold; then, during volumes 6–11, it averaged 4,000–6,000 copies sold. Although sales were declining, they remained steady. My prediction for volumes 13–14 is 500–1,000, with volume 14 hopefully reaching 1,000 sales since it’s the volume featuring the NTR plot; it could sell well because of chapters 132–133 and if it has a great ending with Shinobuxfumi and Sakura single.

When looking at the reviews on CMOA, you'll notice that since August, or after Volume 13 was released, the reviews for Grapara have been overwhelmingly negative.

I checked again after filtering the rankings specifically to shonen manga. Grapara's ranking does improve, but when compared with series that previously ranked lower than it, you can see that Grapara has already fallen out of that group.
