If you think of Sakura as Airi's self-insert, it'll make you feel better about none of the characters mattering. It's a comedy because the entire story is about the delusion and fetish of the author. The camera represents the readers and the final scene is a metaphor for Airi wanting to get fucked in the ass in front of the audience. It is an autobiography.

With that said, I sincerely recommend Airi to change her career to an JAV actress. It would help her release her pent-up desires. Maybe then she could stop writing these stories about how much she wants to fuck and cheat on men. There are plenty of NTR JAV directors around. Guys, Sakura's scene isn't AV or real sex since Shinobu isn't an AV director. Fumi's simulated sex scene was a huge success, which is why the producer asked Shibobu to do another scene like that with Sakura.

It's so funny, Katsura Airi really went all out in the smear Fumi campaign route so all her bridges burned on the way out, Sakura really got rewarded for her string of mistakes for years in-universe, only for Fuimi to randomly decide to come clean about what happened all those years ago, by withholding a few things no less, when the accountability widow closed down a long time ago.

Shinobu and Sakura end this tale not necessarily back together, but tied in a special way where they believe only each other bring out the best in their respective careers, Katsura Airi must've thought she was being deep with this, the final pages with Shinobu and Sakura holding hands as he films her being rear ended by another actor really seals the deal this is "netorare comedy", no romance to be found.

Yep, spot on. Althought the open ending is a bit worse, while Sakura still wears the necklace there's not much suggesting they got back together outside of the handholding imo and that's not exactly the sign I want LOL.
