The author just fulfilled one of their needs to let Sakura knows the truth. But they actually want Sakura to be suffered after knowing the truth while Shinobu end up happily with Fumi.

For Japanese readers, Fumi is their FMC while Sakura and cucboy are villains.

They felt really bad Sakura got the New Actress Award and going well in her career while Fumi's sacrifice earned nothing but made Shinobu shine.

IMHO, I'd like the harem ending and I don't think Sakura will mind to let Fumi as Shinobu's mistress. LOL

Anyway, it's Keishi Nikishida sensei’s style to have only the FMC and MC end up as a couple, leaving other characters who were deeply fond of the MC disappointed (he does not write harem endings).

Again, IMHO, there are only two solutions to boost the volume 14 sales :

First solution, put cucboy in jail and turn Sakura to be a rape victim (sacrifice cucboy to revive Sakura).

Second solution, change some panels in chapter 129 to stop the penetration so Sakura and cucboy never engage the cheating (revive both Sakura and cucboy).

In conclusion, Japanese people can't accept the rape scene without punishment because Grapara is a manga, not doujinshi, and it's also a "rom-com" manga. Sakura fell from being the FMC since she being penetrated by cucboy the same way as Japanese people want their singing idol to stay pure.

Fumi getting treated like this was quite sad, Shinobu worked for his career while Sakura just continues to fail upwards even though she finally learned the truth. Still find it funny that fucboi got offscreened but they probably didn't have the pages to figure it out, and we didn't even get a single conversation for ShiKura.

I don't understand why when an axe suddenly comes for a long-running manga with multiple threads running, they don't give it more than 3 chapters to round it up. That said, Katsura used those three chapters terribly, with literally all the resolution happening in the second half of the very last chapter with pretty much no payoff for the revelation, etc. All to be able to insert one normally-paced multi-chapter cuck scene with the second female lead. She should get permission to make a doujin to flesh it out a little more IMO.
