The only acceptable chapter is one that portrays what Sakura was thinking this whole time and then her breaking down when she finds out she was the one who cheated. Then Shinobu can offer her the role for the actress and pull her out of depression or something... I guess.
Japanese on magapoke are saying they want to see Sakuras thoughts and depression so who knows maybe it'll happen since its not foreigners asking for it, its japanese.
Man, Kimi Onoda (born in chicago and 1/2 american) and this new PM are fucking that country up and really riling up the right wing trying to make them hate foreigners. That sucks because traveling to Japan is one of my favorite places to go, hopefully it doesn't trickle down to the everyday person too much. I suspect Airi is probably a fan of Kimi.
I also prefer that kind of special chapter of Grapara than to tell us what's going on with the other characters. LOL
Sorry to say that
Airi Katsura (sensei), IMHO,
is clearly a big fan of the xenophobia and she was likely one of those people who bullied mixed-race or foreign children from a young age. It's obvious for me.
If you are a foreigner or a mixed one, you will certainly be bullied because Japan has long fostered a sentiment of hostility toward foreigners.
For example, those red-faced giant with non-black hair characters in Japanese literature, or the aliens who oppress the Japanese people in
Gintama, are actually caricatures mocking Westerners (foreigners). LOL (Please don't get me wrong that I'm laughing at the bullying. I’m laughing at how clever the Japanese are at insulting foreigners by portraying them as the red-faced ogres etc.)
Studying Japanese history not only makes reading manga more enjoyable but also broadens your perspective, allowing you to see mindsets and behaviors that differ from those in your own country.
I myself sympathize with
Ms. Kimi Onoda, as tradition, she's been bullied since a young age.
She has revealed by herself that, since elementary school, she was pelted with stones, scold to go back to America, and even harassed by following to her own home, etc.
It is understandable why she's tried to win over the Japanese public by demonstrating that she stands with them, not foreigners because she decided she'd live in Japan till die.
The Japanese politicians have been stirring up nationalism for a long time in order to gain benefits from it. For example, the former PM,
Mr. Shinzo Abe convinced people to agree with this nationalism in order to be approved the military spending for defending Japan and then ... you know where the commission money goes and it's the reason why people want to be politicians (in every countries in this world) ... Sad but true.
As I've said before, manga is heavily involved with politicians.
It's not surprising that there are requests from politicians to promote various topics such as xenophobia, marrying an older woman, giving the characters a child for their ending rather than just having them get married etc.
The depreciation of the yen has fueled resentment among the Japanese people because it has led to an influx of tourists and foreigners. Japanese goods (including, of course, manga) have become cheaper, even while the domestic economy struggles.
It feels as though foreigners are swooping in to take everything for themselves while local people can't afford it. So sad.
For example, last year, there was a rice shortage in Japan because supplies were consumed by tourists, leaving insufficient quantities for domestic needs. People were forced to import non-Japanese rice just to survive, rice that couldn't be used for sushi because it lacked the necessary stickiness to hold its shape. Naturally, the Japanese people resented the foreigners who deprived them of their native rice.
Or even Japanese sex workers (including JK) now frequently turn away Japanese clients in favor of foreign customers, particularly the Chinese, with many reasons. There also has been a surge in sexually transmitted diseases in Tokyo and of course the Japanese public blames foreigners for this trend.
When fake news attacking foreigners circulates, many people are quick to believe it immediately. Even when such stories are proven false such as the incident involving tourists allegedly harming deer in Nara. Many Japanese still cling to the belief that the tourists were in the wrong. So sad.
I do not hate Chinese and Indian people as every nation has both good and bad individuals. However, many tourists from China and India exhibit appalling behaviors when abroad.
It is as if they are acting out, doing things they wouldn't dare do in their own countries, without any regard for the host nation because they believe they can escape before facing consequences.
This places a significant burden on local communities in tourist areas.
Consequently, when anti-foreigner sentiment is promoted, this is one of many factors that many people are ready to believe it and jump on the bandwagon almost immediately.
So, I'm not angry at AK (sensei) though she's xenophobia because she's grown up to be this bad adult like many people. I understand and feel pathetic to her and I believer she really needs to see a doctor to fix her mental illness before it's too late.
Please always be prepared for natural disasters in every parts of the world because they are becoming both more severe and more frequent by the global boiling !!!
Please take care,
P.S. Count down to our true farewell.
