"Sure, you committed by far the worst genocide in human history, but at least you didn't do it for an actual reason!" What is this manga even trying to say anymore lol. Why is the author suddenly trying to turn the protagonist into a good guy after everything he's done? So weird

What would you do if you were inside that box? I believe the food request aren't that trusting considering the dude was only given a box of emergency rice, moreover in an isolated room.

Even the manga recognized the only moral course of action was to die. Sena decided to commit the biggest genocide in human history to protect himself. Which is fine for the basis of the story, but the manga all of a sudden trying to tell me he's a totally good dude because he doesn't believe in anything was risible lol.

Indeed but I doubt any sane person on earth would do something that majestic as in not killing the whole earth so they could eat for themself! Sorry for bad english bro!

I dunno I think plenty of people would rather die than commit genocide. Certainly I would.

I might be wrong, but from the comments where you can find the original work people seem to be talking as if the manga is already over? Can anyone confirm?

The problem is Shindo would never choose a Goody Two-Shoes, so considering all the other options, MC is actually a decent choice and doesn't go further insane after the initial experiments with the box.

And sometimes a "good" person with an ideal can be severely impacted by an extreme situation, which can still lead to a much worse scenario.

So, having no core ideal at all might not be so bad.

As for why the aliens chose our girl instead of just using her as a method to find a more suitable ones through the virus, who knows? But I think for the experiment, they probably wouldn't have chosen a Goody Two-Shoes either.
