Got to admit, having so many large panels during an action sequence, makes it a bit hard to follow. Need a bit more transitions. Chainsaw Man, and others by that artist like Fire Punch, do the same thing at times.

Thanks for the release. Waiting for this arc to be over though, might be alright if read back to back, but piecemeal I'm liable to forget what happened prior.

So he beat the beast thing by letting it lunge its entire body weight on him and then CUT IMG to him stabbing his sword in it's mouth that was previously closed (looks completely not lethal btw) and also somehow the beast is being pushed backwards and all forwards momentum has been erased for no reason.

Don't kill him yet... We need information whether he moves alone or not... And who knows, he might not want to share the intel so you could "persuade" him

Most likely, it was a feint by overwhelming the monster's sense of smell by suddenly hitting the bag before its nose.
Then the swordsman used the gap in the monster's defenses to get his sword into the beast's mouth.
For this strike to have been lethal, he should have hit the brain through the mouth, but the artist's skill (or understanding of combat) is not enough for that, I guess.
Note that unlike humans, most animals need to keep their mouth open in combat to deal with the heat.
