It was fine. I guess i will be reading the web novel when i have some time, it looks like the light novel isn't really alive right now and i only found 2 volumes translated.
They show a similar ending to the novel with the black haired people walking in, but can't spare a page or panel for "I knew it! Elves are a must in a fantasy world!" comment by them.
I get this seems to have been axed and rushed, but even that much would've gone a long way.
Consider the novel ending/epilogue where Illya also had stuck with her choice to live as a receptionist and reject becoming a god.
This place truly never changed.
However… change was always happening in some corners of the world.
Entering the branch at that very moment was a boy and a girl, acting curiously. Both bore jet-black hair and eyes tinted with a shade close to deep brown.
As Elize welcomed the two who appeared a tad bewildered, a back-and-forth of words ensued. The boy then cast his gaze around, eventually fixing it upon me.
What graced his countenance was a beaming, untainted smile.
“I knew it! Elves are a must in a fantasy world!”
How many individuals within this hall truly comprehend the significance of those words?
Masking an inner wry smile, I adorned my customary cheerful expression and offered a bow.
“Welcome.”
Welcome to the Luneville branch.
And — to the world of swords and magic.
Do you require assistance on the path you’re embarking on?

The phrase "Life uh, finds a way" from jurassic Park is applicable here. I'm terms of the system of the planet finding a way despite Ilya not becoming a God.
I suppose this ending scrapped that aspect and just went with a normal adventurer walking in perhaps. But still, it could've handled this end a bit better even with 🪓-kun.
This kept showing promise and teasing that everything would wrap up and make sense in some cool, interesting way.
And it never delivered. Because the artist struggles to draw characters with distinctive identifying features, I got confused repeatedly about which character was talking. When the grand finale finally happened, I just didn't care enough to go back and figure out WTF happened to who, how, and why.
