In a way, I'm happy that they don't make make as many depressing stories anymore. For at least a decade it was just young girl in horrible situation stories everywhere. This series is likely the best of them overall, thanks to the fact it tries to center the one in pain more than the outsider that stumbled into the situation (the viewers stand in).
