Ahh mann... I think my sugar level just went up again after reading this chapter. It was way too sweet and wholesome, especially with Mikami’s unbelievably cute smile 💕
I’m glad she called it out. The self-deprecating mindset that ignores the person who’s spending time with you but accepting rumors from outsiders is really disrespectful of the person who chose to spend their time with you.Actual communication in a romance manga?? Holy shii......
So rare that it should be considered a god damned super power...Actual communication in a romance manga?? Holy shii......
The frequency with which this trope appears in high school romcoms is (or at least should be) educational. It's valid to have concerns that your presence in someone else's life might reflect negatively on them. It's even valid - and good and healthy communication! - to mention these concerns to the other person and ask them if they share those concerns so you two can work something out. What's not valid is making a unilateral decision to act on that concern by ending whatever acquaintanceship you have with the other person.I’m glad she called it out. Literally thought the same thing. I don't know why people don't like the mc. I used to be a fat loner with low self-esteem. And when you are constantly told you are nothing. You start believing them. My wife said the same thing the fl said in this manga. I can relate to mc minis the fat because the mc ain't fat.Actual communication in a romance manga?? Holy shii......
Speaking from experience I had very similar thoughts between ages 10 and 15 or so, hell even after. It seems even more detrimental in Japan because of the culture of not going against the grain. The translation feature on twitter has flooded my feed with Japanese posts and it's amazing how often it comes up as a point. People letting things slide because of not wanting to stick out.The frequency with which this trope appears -snip-
Yeah, like, being paralyzingly socially anxious as a teenager is incredibly relatable, haha. I genuinely hope teenagers read stuff like this and learn the right lessons from it! Being a teen is hard as shit, they deserve all the help they can get.Speaking from experience -snip-
Oh, she's fun. Does a good job of pushing through the BS.
