Even though I had started It 4 days ago and rushed It but still It amazed me with the good concept, and the MC was so real and relatable, it was a really good manga but the ending kinda disappointed me

The plot and story is not bad written but it's basic like how a person as kind as MC decide to go and kill people on the streets to break the time loop curse when there are many other ways to do it like involving a few important or powerful people in the curse and then explaining the whole thing to them and waiting for them to find a solution like finding a job of a executioner or something and then all he has to is execution a human everyday for the rest of his life and if he don't then it's not only his problem it's a few more people's problem and to prevent them from abusing his power he can say the other people who is in this curse will get a bad fate or something if the time loop continues so even if someone intends to do it others will stop that person and to break the curse forever he could just wait till he turns old and then make his sister take his life

Peak. There is no right or wrong in this manga. And tf with the ending.. rather than open/closed end we got hangover end. What i feel about this manga is like how i drink a cup of espresso. Got that bitter feeling but still enjoy it nonetheless.

not a fan of the very ending, like they prolly coulda waited one more day to see if the curse actually broke or not rather than just assuming it didn't

This was dogshit author is incapable of writing and should never pick up a pen again.

The detective is a Mary sue. He had way too many chances blown and yet they never put him in custody or punished him. From an outsiders perspective he is harassing a 17 year old, stalking him, and even imprisoned him. Then forces him into interrogation for 3 days. Then they just let that happen??????

Now you add the boys background. He lives with an abusive father and has to work multiple jobs to help his sick sister.

The gotcha was stupid. So after all that the detective runs away and takes a policeman hostage after knocking another one out. How is the MC not in the right to protect himself from him there. Anyone who would see that would think well yeah of course he stabbed him dude was stalking him and threatening him. The detective is crazy. Also to add he just heard his childhood friend killed herself. She also killed in self defense. But no let's ignore all that and believe he did it because he's a guilty . They made a murderer of innocent people out of a guy who went out of his way kill trash. Good fucking job detectives. And what was your plan if you did catch him? Kill him? Let him kill more? So dumb 2/10. Innocent people died because uhhhhh you wanted to prove you were right even after you found out who he was killing and why you still fucked him over and made shit worse.

just read it in one sitting and even with the "sketchy" scanlations like the scan team said it was still an awesome read. one of the better conclusions to a story that i might add to my top 10. over all 9/10 read wouldve been a 10/10 if it had more chapters

Detective Felt Like a forced sherlock holmes, bar the fact he essentially knew it was him even though it was nonsensical, his actions being allowed were illogical, prints on a murder weapon, essentially illegally arresting someone holding him for 3 days with no warrant and still not being handcuffed/arrested leads to Kusakabe essentially going mad due to how the detective essentially sets it up for his Childhood Friend/Girlfriend to kill herself for him. Coupled with the fact that the ending isn't definite for a manga were we watch someone suffer this much it feels much much disappointing

Interesting concept. The author manages the rules of the time loop well, being consistent throughout the whole manga. Characters are two-dimensional; they feel more like an idea/archetype than actual people with motivations, with a few exceptions.

The plot, as stated before by others, mostly follows a logical path. However, there are quite a few plot holes. In some of them, I guess you could try to do mental gymnastics to justify them.

Examples:
-The glasses girl somehow survives having her head smashed with a rock multiple times, but it felt more like a plot device to make Nee-chan get caught.

-The MC escaping after killing his dad too, (since he went for the trouble of putting the detective's fingerprints in the knife, besides, the whole situation could have been explained as self defense..come on, the mf made a false claim that he planted a bomb) but mostly how ridiculous it was for the detective to still have credibility after kidnapping the suspect and making false claims (there are more things, but I don't remember clearly).

-The mere fact that MC was a suspect. The author develops this a bit better later (I like how he put together what happened when the handcuffs disappeared), but the way the detective got suspicious of him doesn't convince me.

-Other instances like the nurse somehow concluding that MC was the killer just because the police were investigating her sister, when the logical conclusion would be: "Oh, the murderer is going after MC's sister!" no matter how unstable she was.

In the final chapters, there was a heavy lore drop that felt really rushed, and there wasn't an adequate ending. The whole premise of the story was "This boy has to kill so his sister lives" but we don't even get an answer if the operation was truly successful, nor a reaction to the whole mess.

I dont have a problem with a character having a sad ending. However, it was truly unsatisfying; it seems like no one in the police (who knew of the time travel) could understand that MC didn't have a choice in killing, most of the victims were horrible people, too. Of course, this is addressed slightly at the end, but just a few dialogues don't cut it; it is not a matter of sympathy, but of logic: "If this person doesn't murder someone, all of humanity is doomed to repeat the same day".

In the end, what remained was a character who suffered throughout the whole story and didn't even get to see if he accomplished his original goal (saving his sister). We, as well, didn't have this luxury. Like his whole journey was meant for nothing.

Conclusion: The detectives were annoying, and there wasn't enough exploration of MC's family (mother's backstory doesn't even make sense to understand her actions completely). The characters felt like plot devices, wasted potential. MC's journey felt like a waste.

6-7/10. It has some brilliant moments that make it a worthy read. I wouldn't call it generic, but definitely not something really deep, and the plot is predictable. Works like Re: Zero, Death Note, or Stain's Gate are a bit similar and develop some of the dynamics presented here better, although I like how the Time Loop works here.

Good ideas, but execution is insufficient.

Yeah this was the thing that irked me the most and it was stupid. Anyone who saw what the detective was doing without the knowledge we as readers have, we'd see him as batshit fucking insane and arrest him for not only harassing a kid but kidnapping them. It's just illogical how many chances he was given and how lenient the police were. Like put yourself in the perspective of one of the cops. It's just bad writing. Author has no idea how a person or the public would perceive certain actions or incidents in a real life scenario.

I just finished reading it, and, honestly, I liked it a bit more than Death Note and/or Happy Sugar Life(Both of which I feel are kind of similar in premise to this manga), and I was engaged the entire way through, I just really didn't like the direction they went with some of the characters, and, well, the mystery/origin surrounding the curse kind of comes out of left field, like, I'm glad they explained overall it but it really should have been foreshadowed maybe around the midway point, I really wanted the spicy detective and his snaggletooth Watson to survive, they were a cute couple.

I feel like it was a missed opportunity to not have a Ryuk-esque malevolent/trickster god as an antagonist, either literally or figuratively rather than the curse just somebody's left over baggage curse from thousands of years ago from an age where maybe the gods were simply more prevalent, not to mention, with gods literally existing, y'know, the Shinto/Buddhist kind(I assume)..That means that what Makoto was doing was objectively wrong, so there isn't even room for a moral dilemma or ambiguity, it would also, rather ironically mean that Makoto's pos dad who eventually repents would go to heaven and not Makoto...Ouch lol

They maybe should have just made it an anomaly that couldn't be explained, I'm kind of surprised their isn't a scene where Makoto hits up a library and goes though a few occult books to learn about curses, he has infinite time, after all, he really doesn't spend a lot of time looping, which is what I feel like I would do, or at least attempt before I went crazy with a knife.

And yeah, the title is extremely misleading lol seeing as the ending is actually ambiguous, not happy...
Overall, I enjoyed it, but, like with a lot of these kinds of manga with great premises, the mangaka just kinda gets bored, you can kind of feel it, I think and I get the impression they wanted a do-over or to make something else, to move on, so they just kind of "break" their own manga to "get it over with" lmao

Although, with that said, I've heard there is a sequel, but, I've read online that it actually hits a lot of the same story beats as the original(someone on reddit claimed there's a scene where the main character is handcuffed to the detective just like the original), so it might be more apt to say it's more like a spiritual successor or a reimagining? I'm not sure, I wonder if it fixes some of the original's problems? That would be interesting.
