“Business Yuri” is such a real large aspect of the Idol/Streaming Industry. So many people live these relationships vicariously through streams, real or not.
As fluffy as it is, people can take it way too seriously. Fan shipping girls together, especially now with Idols and Kpop stars going big into business Yuri, I feel sorry for fans who just can’t see what’s real anymore.
Very true. Which is why I don’t watch those things that I know aren’t fully real but also can’t be 100% scripted. Like those Business shipping vtubers or the K-pop business. Because those are genuinely real people, and I don’t want to believe in something that I know can fall apart just as fast as they build up. At least when watching drama Yuri shows, I know that the story inside the fictional world can be 100% true in their own regards, but don’t have any influence on the people’s relationships IRL.
Because let’s be fair, those streaming people are really good at giving fan service on the spot, but it’s still nothing compared to real relationships or what’s scripted with caution.
And it’s why I like reading stories and manga so much. I won’t have trouble immersing into the story because I know the stories are tested by the authors and the editors. But one improvising error from streamers and idols can probably ruin the whole experience. (And the drama, all that stupid drama…)
And I like this chapter, because it gives off such an authentic feeling for those two lovebirds straight from the mangaka’s efforts.
Thanks for the new chapter, and I’ll look forward to a new one! (Hopefully the class rep will have her own moments some day…)
