Finally, we get to see Miyako’s backstory. From chapter 35, we learn that Miyako was the wolf who became the source of Okuri Ookami. But her obsession didn’t start there, it only began when she ate a woman and ended up being possessed by that woman’s lingering emotions. The intense love that woman felt for Shin was transferred to Okuri Ookami, which explains why Miyako loves him too. She must have realized that if Shin knew she had killed the woman he loved and taken her form, it would only hurt him.

If what the other Okuri Ookami said is true, this probably what led Miyako to ask the messenger to perform Oyadori (?) on both her and Shin, so Shin could forget the past and she could get a fresh start as someone who was no longer the Okuri Ookami. This explains why she’s now going after Ao, who is essentially Shin’s reincarnation. Looks like my previous theory that Miyako’s origin was tied exclusively to Ao was wrong.

But then, who possessed Ao in chapter 26?

Is that not Shin? He knows Miyako and seems aware of Oyadori. He also genuinely loves her, even though she’s not human. So why is Miyako hostile toward him? I’m missing something here.

And hey, Samejima Jiken is back

Now that Tsure Ao is completed, I hope this manga will be updated more frequently. Also, Tomomi has already posted a preview for the next chapter.

Author got to do a better job on the action. It’s hard to tell what’s going on at times

I'm still a bit confused, is this still a flashback of a previous loop? God damn this series' chronological order is so confusing. Which "loop" is the current/latest one?

This chapter is set in the present, the previous loop that explains Miyako's nature runs from chapters 32 to 34
