Not "avoided", not the incident (that certainly could have been avoided if the MC wasn't so perverted and reckless), but the marriage/concequences, he truly has to take responsability (well i guess he could have not ownded to it but that doesn't match hsi character and would make every girl in his harem angry) since it was his fault 100%

Anyway, the important part is that nothing of this is caused by the MC being dense you are right, if anyting is because he wasn't dense lol (he totally knew what he was doing XD)
