Ahh! Re-reading I think I caught the problem, that being the [Legal Wife]'s children want to serve Vel, which means they might "aquire" their Father's recommendation and pose as someone else to be in Vel's land.
If discovered to be the [Legal Wife]'s children it could be a slap for both Vel and the Margrave, as they are supposed to serve the Margrave.
So for now only hire Ina's and Louise's brothers as they are both their respective representative of their families and their identities are easily confirmed.

So the [Legal Wife]'s children are causing issues for all parties because they really like Vel's lands.

Even if they're just students who graduated from their school and had seal of approval would still cause issues, the legal wife's children being hired would just cause even more.

Iina and Louise's brothers are 'safe' to hire not only because they're direct family (expected to be loyal to each other) but they're also the ones with permission from the Margrave to leave.

At minimum if he hires someone they don't approve of it'd cause rifts between him and Iina/Louise.

Of course in reality neither Vel nor the Margrave would actually take offense since they know of the situation, but it open rooms for others to criticize the people involved.

It's always the curtain-twitchers, position jockeys, and wannabe's that are a problem.

Although there's a definite east-Asian flavour to all this, as european noble relations simply didn't have this problem. Completely different setup, dependencies, and attitude.

It's funny that Vel, who was a Japanese salaryman is pained with the 'etiquettes' of the nobility, when being a Japanese also has a lot of social gestures and etiquettes they have to strictly follow and could also affect one's life dramatically. Well it might not be as hassling as being a 'european-like noble' but the Japanese social customs and etiquettes can really be troublesome even for a born-Japanese.

Normally when I see a new issue of Hachinan tte, I get excited for a good read.

From what I see in the comments, most people agree that a 30 page discussion of etiquette, protocol, and societal norms sucks ass. Couldn't even enjoy that Iina and Louise are basically clones of their milf mothers.

Another reason why I don't like the medieval world is that opportunities for jobs and work are basically full. It is hard to get a job.

It's not really that there wasn't positions available, its more about trust, loyalty and compatibility. Competent employers mostly raised their employees thrue apprenticeships or rarely thrue referrals from a trusted source.

Crafters liked to keep their techniques hidden from their competitors while bureaucrats and merchants would consistently be worried about bad actors and incompetence.

Training and indoctrination from a young age was the preferred method to ensure your employees would know their job, and more importantly not betray you.

if the kids of the legal wife are in control of creating combatants for the adventurers, security, and personal armed forces for his territory, and the legal wife is tied to the husband who has sworn fealty to their lord, there is a high chance that the kids of the legal wife could turn on him if the foreign lord decides to make a vassal out of MC's territory

that's why they want to avoid having those kids, who are tied to another lord, from being in positions of power in HIS territory

Yes and no. The difference between the past and now is that in the past there weren't many job choices, but today society does not have enough payments and benefits for job.

Yup, that's the issue.

Things like this still happen in modern times though usually within businesses.
