The fun part about that theory of mine is we even have setup already for explaining why the mom's ghost hasn't been seen. He's banned from the house, and some ghosts are bound to specific locations and that's apparently his default expectation.

I mean, it is a fun theory, but he'd have to have been raped when asleep or something, while no ghosts watched over him. In the second chapter they joke about him being a cherry boy/virgin. It could still be true, but runs into a rather large plot hole of the setup. Or a similar set of circumstances led to it. For all we know there is a non-sex separation possible, like a concussion. Or she was kinky and walking around with an egg/vibe in her. . . Still sex, but could lead into mostly yuri soul grabs.
