Let's recap.

- In Chapter 1, we were told that Hiroto’s ability class is F-Class.
Meanwhile, in chapter 3 his incredibly powerful older sister, whose abilities are Undo, Instant Death, and Reflection, are all A-Class.
In Chapter 29, we learn that Takagami Rei’s original ability was only Reflection, but she later manifested two more abilities: Instant Death and Undo. The researchers mentioned the possibility of a new S-Class user emerging, but it was never officially confirmed; it was purely speculative.
Now, in Chapter 58, we see that Takagami Hiroto is assigned F-Class, yet in reality, he is the only S-Class ability user.

So they knew all along. It's interesting, it means the establishment was never in the dark about how disruptively OP his abilities were. In fact, it's probable he doesn't know their full extent yet.

It makes a lot of sense. His sister keeps threatening him but the school keeps treating him with kids gloves and basically allows him to do whatever he wants. This was apparent even from the start of the series. Though I wonder if that means the principle aka his other step-sister knows. Since the start she has been holding Rei back from killing him, making the excuse that it would be a bad look for the school. If she knew, then why order the retest? Unless they were afraid it had escalated.

Ok I feel like under the specific circumstances it’s kinda B class so there HAS to be some kind of evolution of secondary activation we are unaware of that elevates it to being much higher. Unless it’s kinda going by SCP rules where the higher class can have very a specific activation situation BUT WATCH OUT if you’re in that specific situation you’re basically screwed.

How? His ability was always busted, if he had support from the beginning snatching powers (and bodies) wouldve been a breeze. If anything this gives us some clues why his sister wants to kill him

It makes sense they lied to him.. think about which world they live in. women are the dominating sex.. so if they found out there is a man who got the rank S. they wouldn't hold back to KILL him at all. We all saw how murderous they truly are against men and weaker women.
Plus these guys might have a plan in progress and they need him alive for now.

Usually I don't really like the whole "But the protagonists powers are secretly overpowered" deal you get in manga. But in this case I do kinda like it. The reveal does kinda fit, and its mainly the various upper ranks that know it and are trying their best to hide it. So it could lead to interesting developments.

I mean, he did quite literally pull a deus ex machina last time. They even explicitly said it creates plot twists IRL.
Even if he was a nobody before, he's somebody now.
