They chose this a couple of years ago. Sure, people made jokes about the cheesy title or how it loses meaning after the first volume (not least because Rui doesn't care about consistency or premise anymore, but still), but that's Western localizers, you know.

She was never a lesbian, but bisexual, so that the author could get softcore content (one could argue about ecchi level here, but the author himself directly calls the manga "softcore fighting manga with big boobs"), but still leave her a "technical virgin" for the male audience's fantasies. This is even discussed several times in the manga itself and the author's afterword.

This isn't terrible at all. Sure, it's vulgar, but it's not degenerate porn. Misora's innocence and naivety is compensated with her martial arts (put to use in all kinds of bizarre situations), and she contrasts nicely with Satoko (the perverted AV actress).

I've only read about a dozen chapters or so, but I'll definately keep reading
