Dominant sounds terrifying, but also like compulsory reading just to get the full scope of Igarashi as a mangaka. I've read utterly brutal work before and it's not so much the violence and trauma that puts me off, so much as the endings that...I guess feel like all of that suffering was for nothing in the end, where characters are either locked in an endless cycle of misery (self-imposed or otherwise), or they don't get any meaningful growth or change as people.
Dominant sounds like it doesn't fit that idea, though, so I will have to see if there's an English translation (or a Spanish one or something that I can parse bit-by-bit) and give it a shot. It might not be Yuri, but if it's at all a spiritual precursor for Kasumi's story here, I think it would at least be illuminating.
