I believe for old times manga reader, Okama is an accepted translation in fan translation
so I guess for younger audience, you can translate it as Drag Queen or Crossdresser

I mean, even Viz media tried so hard not to translate it to its actual meaning
(remember "Oh, Come My Way" in One Piece?)

My guy I have read manga for like 15 years but never have I seen this JAPANESE word. Cant imagine it being hard to just say drag queen or crossdresser but I guess too many manga fans wants half translated works because "it adds additional context" when there are straight forward translations.

I guess you haven't read a lot of queer manga then. But you're right this is for manga fans, I'm obviously not a professional translator, and this isn't an official English release, so stop being so bitchy about a translation you didn't even have to pay for.

Old One Piece translations are riddled with word Okama
you won't find it now, because like I said, Viz media and official mangaplus will not translate it as such
I believe they don't even translate it to crossdress if they can
for example: this chapter's title

for me, even before I learned Japanese, I already know the word Okama from One piece and other old manga
and what I mean by old, is like, way way old
