I always roll my eyes when stories come out about "ancient technologies" or "artifacts" or "relics" from the past that are so godlike yet so forgotten and lost and cannot be replicated.
Like... no?
But if the story is interesting enough, I just let it slide.

But for humanity to forget all information, skills, and creativity to create food except for basically CalorieMate?

I don't see anything particularly mid about this. Sure, it relies on a slower, evocative sparseness in the storyboarding and art, but it fits the semi-eerie atmosphere and sense of loneliness expected of a story about isolated, lost humanity. The characters feel rounded and deep, and there's a slight sense of humor to keep it from feeling too self-serious. YMMV, of course.

I heard that kids these days wouldn't get the Soylent Green reference which would be a damn shame if true :meguuusad:

It's really impressive how this girlie manages to wear such flawless makeup in the post-apocalypse...

Jokes aside, thank you for the chapter, you did a great job with it!
