Cute, but I can't get over how convoluted all of this was. Let's not forget that she was blackmailed into working a part-time job, without being asked to interview and train for the position, all because she didn't want people to know she eats jumbo ramen. 😩

It just doesn't match either character as they've been depicted so far for any of this to have happened. It wasn't even a funny kind of weird. It was just incoherent weird.

I don't think "psychopaths" would go out of their way to apologize for their transgressions.

Nor would they acknowledge or have the awareness that what they did was wrong and they should've went about their actions differently in any instance, least of all in regards to making friends if it were possible for them.

Koyuki is a dunce, not a psychopath. While you and people like you are free to decide how you'd react in a scenario like the one she put herself in, you'd be surprised at what a genuine conversation like the one furthered in this chapter can accomplish.

Edit: Psychopaths would only ever apologize if it means getting the drop on someone, while also proceeding with their actions without remorse, something Koyuki clearly has been established to have at this point.

This arc was an embarassingly bad attempt at introducing a new friend for Haimiya. Not only was the premise contrived, but also the arc itself was a complete waste of time with how little it told about the characters and how much time was spent on irrelevant kids.

As I keep saying in prior chapters (including my second comment/reply), no one, including myself, is condoning her actions b/c plain and simple: they were bad. Just as well, no one can make you like her character, so if you don't, that's fine.

It just baffles me how people still find ways to make some characters worse than how they present themselves at first to the point of thinking that they're beyond development, even though they've done nothing but develop.

They all talked, the smoke is clear. Say what you will in terms of how you feel about it or the character(s), but that shouldn't be a problem.

That's the one gripe I have about her actions, and I hope she doesn't repeat that going forward. Props to Haimiya for being willing to talk, though

People don't want to admit it, but this was a pretty healthy conflict resolution. No one, not a single person outside of Koyuki, said she had a good plan or did a good job. But the readers don't want to accept that you can look past actions and see the intent behind them like Haimiya did. Koyuki recognized in the end that she shouldn't have done what she did and reflected, and the affected party chose to forgive and befriend her. That's pretty wholesome and a realistic interaction.

Edit: Just gotta remember that these are the same readers that call any isekai MC's who don't murder hobo anyone who looks in their general direction "spineless" and at the same time call the isekai MCs who do murder hobo "edgelords". You can't win with them, they will find something to complain about.

The whole arc just didn't make any sense, calling it out dosen't make it any better. I would have much prefered a more natural way to introduce her and her situation.

A girl that has a bad home situation, semi raising and worrying about her brother who also works hard to get the money to buy the things that makes her happy would be a great character.

She dosen't need to be some sort of crazy person obsessed with the heroine. I've seen that character lots of places before and I don't like them.

She simply could have followed Haimiya into the ramen restaraunt and sat down next to her. That would of been a much more natural way for them to become friends.

I'm not talking about if it makes sense or if could have been better. I don't disagree per se, but also people are being obnoxious about a situation that has been cleared out by talking directly. They even talked about how nonsensical Koyuki was if she only wanted to be friends, even more, it was made clear she should have been direct instead of being a shy moron leading people around with her bs and she admitted her mistake.

I don't know what else you guys want from this girl xD
