Man, the dialogue in this chapter had like no substance. Eri just went like "I know you're not confident, but be confident" with Shirota responding "I dunno... But yeah... But no..." over and over and over. Nothing constructive was said, no progress was made. Ugh.
To be fair, Eri is trying to convey without betraying Takamine's trust.

Eri does plainly state on the final page, "because it's you, Kou-chan, it'll be fine."

Wow, I really hate this. It makes me very uncomfortable to see the author doing this to a lesbian character. Couldn't he at least have created a straight character for this role?

Bruh. My suspension of disbelief...

Eri you can't be doing shit like that if you have a gf. You and Shirota ain't even family related so there's no excuse.

This kind of shit is why people are scared to date bisexuals.
Judging a character’s sexuality based on groping in an ECCHI MANGA is willful stupidity. All the unrealistic situations, all the absurd scenes—everything in this manga is designed and done to get the male reader horny. Simple as that. The author doesn’t care about LGBT coherence; he cares about hard dicks.
Eri and Takane do the same weird stuff—Takane actually goes much further with the girls—and yet no one questions her heterosexuality. Double standards, my friend.
When Takane is practically having sex with Eri
(cap. 054)
, she’s still straight. When Eri is involved in dumb fanservice, suddenly she “turned bi.”
The way they act proves nothing. Takane is closed-off; Eri is outgoing. That’s personality, not sexual orientation. If smiling defined sexuality, half of ecchi characters would change every week.
All of Eri’s real reactions—arousal, jealousy, envy, desire—are always toward girls. There’s no inner monologue, attraction, or romantic conflict involving men. The rest is just acting to excite the reader.
Pairing Eri with a guy is cheap fanservice. Nothing more than that.
But yeah, I won’t convince you of anything if you want to believe this fanfic that Eri is interested in the protagonist, while ignoring everything the manga itself shows outside of fanservice

In the version I read, Eri doesn't say anything about "Because it's you, Kou-chan," which smells like a translator's fanfic to me.
