just like the with the artist's fanbox content, the stories he writes are there just to give an excuse to draw his favorite type of woman in various pin-up poses. well, in fanbox, the girl is also getting porked, but you get the idea. so if the editor tells him to move the plot along, he's not going to introduce a novel story twist. that would be time spent on something other than drawing Takamine. it's understandable to find it annoying, but if you are disappointed by the story here, that's your own fault for getting your hopes up after 50 chapters of very cliché plot developments. most surprising thing i think that's happened is that the lesbian is actually gay and hasn't fallen for MC.

He hasn't actually confessed, but he gave her the letter back in the last volume, talking about how important she is, and told her that he has something important to tell her if he gets into the same college as her. So she basically knows what he wants to say, and now it seems he knows she knows, but they still won't date because he hasn't actually said it. Japanese love their formalities.
