Also worth noting that they are not in the same weight class. Its easy to forget since ippo hits like a truck.

Yeah I did forget about that...now that Mashiba is in his natural weight class, it would be ludicrous if he couldn't stop Ippo's advances.

I think people are expecting too much. We really gotta remember Ippo's doing this to show something he noticed. That combo at the end is part of it, some kind of double left cross.
