This didn’t happen, but I wonder if one boxer stayed in the corner trying to bait while other one doesn’t wanna bite and stayed on the center, so they end up in a stalemate and not boxing for a time, who will get penalized for not fighting?
I guess there may be contextual consideration too, say who is on top at the time etc.

............ I know remarking about the length of these chapters is old hat, but damn. That felt like a 1/3 of a chapter.

I mean, both of them would probably get a warning since neither are engaging or attempting to engage. Then if they keep on doing the same thing, I'd imagine the bout is called off and both fighters are DQ'd.

even when rosario charges in, mashiba dodges everything and hits him with more. I think rosario is going to begin to use cheating in the next chapter to try and level the playing field.

It seems possible since he's been built up as that type of character. But if he really does it, I wonder how the match will end. It'd be crazy if this was the first match in the manga where someone wins by disqualification since Mashiba gets knocked out by like an illegal elbow strike or something

(if I'm forgetting about another DQ win in this series, feel free to remind me, I've read it all but it's a long series lmao)

I think Rosario will try to do exactly what Mashiba did to Miyata. He will go in again and before Mashiba can step back again, Rosario will step on his foot, so that Mashiba hurt himself while trying to step back. I think that last panel that show Mashiba's legs stepping back is foreshadowing that.

Yeah. During 1 match when Ippo was angry, both boxers almost got penalized since neither move from their spot.

Yeah the sawamura match was mashiba's wake up call to stop messing around.
Themes would indicate that mashiba is gonna win against a cheating rosario. Both come from similar backgrounds but rosario wasnt lucky enough to fight ippo have a nice sister
