Twitter so 2006 at earliest. That's still 17 years ago. Now, what age is Ippo supposed to be then? 31?!?!
True. It's more of a tradition in japanese media, but it's just a guess.Considering Twitter's X now I don't really see a reason to call it Thwitter for brand safety...
Well I guess he just dropped the ball. Maybe his editor thought they can't jump the shark and get cancelled at this point. Or maybe that's their objective? Either way they win, too big to fail?told yall old man Morikawa was cheesing it and just doing the minimum
Yeah and Takamura 40 something, and Komogawa is like 93 or something.Twitter so 2006 at earliest. That's still 17 years ago. Now, what age is Ippo supposed to be then? 31?!?!
Might be publisher pressure, they might feel the manga is getting harder to relate to perhaps with the time gap? In any case it's jarring af.This chapter was accurately written but it still feels very "how do you do fellow kids".
I also just can't reconcile it with the era considering that Sendo mentioned buying an SNES in earlier chapters (I know a few years have passed since then but still).
I never cared about when it took place either so this is just fine to me.The series had a consistent timeline spanning 1989-99 for 35 years and all of that is just gone now. Just reeks of an author not caring anymore, and that's just sad.
I bet its Takamura lol
Looks like Morikawa is using a floating timeline for this manga. Like Baki's author.this is bullshit! i love the 90s vibe but now its a mess, first smart phone now twitter ?
cmon morikawa you are better than that.
