I liked this match a lot, it was very nice to see Ippo grow and progress to this point, to the point where he can actually think and use what he's learned and avoid being hit a ton.

Ippo looked so fucking strong here its crazy to think what happens after this. This is like peak Ippo with absolute understanding of his own movement and a genuine evolution of his basics so far. This chapter really cements a feeling of Ippo having become comfortable being a champion. Bro played smart and didn't overextend at all, just masterfully calculated movements.

This is definitely ippo's best match without a doubt. I come back to this fight every once in a while and this is my favorite fight because it shows ippo finally went from that kid that got bullied under a bridge to champion people fear to challenge.

It's also what I feel is his beginning to becoming the best version of himself. This was definitely the starting point.
