Its taken 1263 chapters for my main gripe with ippo to be addressed, morikawa cannot write a boxing story to save his life man. Basic boxing he doesn't use a jab and he has the weakest mindset when in the ring. If something doesn't go his way he literally crumbles like a cookie he just dives in disregarding his health and takes so many shots to the face its no wonder they think he got early signs of cte. Its been this many chapters and he still to this day cannot box. I thought when i first started this series that he would gradually get better at boxing but instead this has turned into more of a series like kengan or baki where you need a special move to win for him he completely abandons basic boxing and throws "hooks and uppercuts" from all angles like thats changing anything. I thought the time he sparred ricardo martinez he would finally change it would have been the perfect opportunity but he didn't learn a thing. Instead its been 100s of chapters of the same thing and no development. Im hoping from this point foward he actually learns how to box and not just gain special move number X
