Good, it looks like I was worried for nothing. I'm glad that I could put faith in the writers and they deliver exactly what was needed. There's no way kimura could just suddenly switch to infighting, find a new weapon like the gazelle punch, and beat Mashiba, who is an amazing fighter with plenty of experience against real, high-level firefighters. I really am genuinely happy with the writing in this manga, it's based in reality with real thought processes and genuine thinking to find solutions, and those solutions require time and energy. That's what makes the build-up and the story so amazing in my eyes.
