11 Volumes in and I can say I definitely love this series! Hilarious, and Intense! And of course, I'm still in my Martial Arts and Boxing Craze after Baki. So having something a bit more light-hearted, yet still strong was a good thing!

Why Japan love boxing so much? Such a lame "martial arts"... Even reading Baki I can't stand all the dick sucking to boxing when every single other real martial arts are far superior. Fuck punching, at least use your damn legs!

Because kicks are impractical and aren't used in real fighting above the thigh, and if you DO you mix in punches.

Boxing also does use the legs, in fact it's MOSTLY leg. Boxing lends itself well to almost any other martial arts.

I'd have to disagree. It's so evidently clear he will come back and ending it will only shorten what could be an even second half of the story. I believe Sendo will lose to Ricardo and maybe something spurs him to come back or maybe he needs one more push to get back into the ring, where we will see his huge improvements. The author has done a great job developing all the oter stories while allowing Ippo to imporve in the background, like he's doing in the other character's perspective. It needs to keep going to 3000 chapters if need be. I'm just sad I've caught up from the anime

Brother, as much as I love Ippo, and want him to be happy, I have serious reservations Morikawa can keep this up. Just this latest Mashiba fight took a year. I feel like the side character stories would of been better as spin offs.
