How can the same guy that's so horny he has whole committees of who to fap to care about being seen as a replacement by someone he himself doesn't love. And if that's the case why not bring that up at any other point? I feel the author was trying to take the story in one direction, dropped it, and now just treats that moment as a comedic one like everything else in the story. Similar how he made Kaho and Touka beef a joke when it was set up to be serious.
