This is basically what's stopping me from enjoying this manga with the awareness of possible future ntr baits from the premise alone. I love netorare only in hentai bc I couldn't care much about the fucking plot just as the characters.
Creating 'what-if routes / non-canon spinoffs' just spoils the overall outlook on the series for me, personally. Poor Ekoda, she didn't deserve that. I wouldn't be able to see her in the same light since I think she's still relevant to the story.
