Close to 20 or below 18? I don’t remember if she’s getting close to graduating high school or not. If she’s close to 20 then it’s Nana being over-cautious. If she’s below 18 that’s a no-fly zone, Samurai. Japanese statutory laws are somewhat hazy (technically increased from 13 to 16 in 2023 but most prefectures have laws much making it effectively 18) but a young salaryman getting his freak on with a high school student and being busted will likely get you into fairly deep doo-doo with your employer, who takes a fairly dim view with employees being associated.

Either way, my guy Nana-kun probably has to douse his balls in liquid nitrogen nightly to cool down from those assaults, because YEEEEEEEESH the amount of self-restraint exhibited here is on a completely new level.

I don't think that the author has ever given exact ages but afaik at this point in the story she's at least 16 but probably 17 and nana is between 20 and 22. I think that she's a second year high school student (based on her already being in high school in a flashback from 1-2 years ago), and nana was still in high school when kagari started middle school 4 or 5 years ago.

Yeah, so she’s marginally jailbait (at least by the standards of Japan). My guy Nana will graduate when she does, but until she gets the diploma, he gets no play (much like Maegami and Senpai from Tawawa-on-Mondays).

Nah, he doesn’t have low self-esteem per-se. I just think he needs to have a wingman to push him a little…but maybe wait until she’s a high school senior first. Didn’t hamita have a similar manga with that Italian chick? That’s almost about a close to a story with a happy ending with that mangaka, and that’s a similar age-gap/caretaker angle.
