Uh? You miss the prior chapters? Bro been trying to cause a genocide. He killed like 100+ humans at this point. Seeing this story only strengthen his resolve more likely and wavers Dokis since she's been the one trying to talk him out of killing for a while now and was somewhat successful. This kinda justify his reasons. At least this means the dude might join them now.

Yes, he has been betrayed an uncountable amount of times by humans and witches alike trying to appeal to his emotions in the prior chapters AND he was never a sentimental guy being okay with causing genocide to both races willy nilly. And to top it all off, regardless of sappy backstory or not, the person just tried to kill him literally moments prior to this. For christ sake, he doesn't even trust or care for Doroka, he has stated that he sees her as a tool repeatedly for the entire time he was together with her. It's insanely out of character for him to care at all, nevermind caring about a threat/enemy.

Couldn't agree more. People may like this, and I saw the tags coming in, but the focus on it is just off-putting and doesn't add to the story at all.

Yeah but to them Witches aren't people - even if they look like people, act like people, even go out of their way to help you, the still don't consider them to be people.

That’s genuinely one of my favorite tropes. Psychotic killers being fully unable to process their loved ones getting killed by their own victims.

I fully want an entire chapter of that dude mourning and tell everyone that they died
