Every time the OGFL freaks out about her plan not working, I can't help but ask if she's stupid. Why did she think inserting herself into the story later would work anyways?

I don't know where this story is going regarding the main game plot.
Obviously Serafina and Konrad are getting together and Stella is gonna face some kind of retribution (possibly ending up with a disinherited Francis, which is a punishment already, or worse), and from the looks of chapter 1 Serafina will become the center of the party fighting the demon king instead of Stella, but some things don't quite add up yet.

Konrad and Stella both use light magic, and he is powerful, yet he shouldn't be able to achieve the saint(ess) status needed to strengthen the country's barrier and defeat the demon king. If, as said earlier, promotion to saintess status is depending on the relationship to the other characters, Serafina will take Stella's place there as well, yet she is an exceptionally weak water mage. How will that work out?

I also still can't get over Stella deliberately entering the story late to get onto Konrad's route. How would that have worked in the game, losing all the flags up to that point and the spirit summon?

I feel like she thought everything would “auto correct” to follow the story.
Seriously, that the worst kind of “reincarnated heroine”, that think because she reincarnated into the heroine, she‘s “due” everything… and even without Serafina, her way of doing things would have destroyed the storyline anyway.

Yeah she wasted a year when she could have been there. Well original heroine has a very self-centered mindset

It's much worse than that though after their first interaction it was clear to her that the female lead is going for a route where everyone can be happy but heroine zero interest in that I think.

Oh yeah, that’s what I mean. It’s like, she doesn’t really care about the characters, and even if Serafina wasn’t there, I’m pretty certain Konrad would have seen through her flimsy facade at some point. It’s clear that she doesn’t see any of them as people, she is holding fast to the belief that she’s not in the game’s world, but literally in the game, and thus they would be only “characters”. :X
