If one of the love interests had the book in the game...why does FL think it would be in the library...instead of just asking the guy she knows might have it?

The FL is definitely more on the Bakarina side of the scale. Though she may also expect to find a different grimoire in the library?

I am amused that the guy who has the book thought about giving it to the "saint" and went "aw hell no."

If you notice any text in Spanish or feel the translation more ass than it already is....

Well, several days ago I got a stye in my left eye (in Mexico we call them "perillas"), and this thing doesn't let me see well. It's as if my vision is cloudy.

At this point it already looks like a red pimple, so it probably won't be long before it disappears (I hope, because it's incredibly uncomfortable lol).

The phrasing on the last couple of pages feels a little off.

Lucas has the grimoire and says that the rule of the student council is that the book should be given to the chosen hero and that if he sticks to the customs he should give it to the Maiden of Light/our antagonist bitch because she's the one with unique special powers.

But then he says "However, I will simply follow the rules and hand it over strictly to that chosen person"

The thing that's tripping me up is the "however" which usually signifies that he's thinking about doing something different (like "I should hand this over to the Maiden of Light, however I think I'll actually give it to Serafina.") because it implies he's choosing to do something different than his initial train of thought. But the whole internal conversation taken together is more like "this is what the rules say I should do, however I'm actually going to do what the rule says I should." which is clumsy and not really the correct way to phrase things because his final conclusion seems to be agreeing with what he believes he's supposed to do.

The only thing I can think of is that it's one of those awkward Japanese things where they get purposely circumspect about the subject they're talking about to try and mask the actual decision for the audience even though it doesn't make sense as a conversation (internal or otherwise). Like someone saying "I guess I should use that thing" in a vague way even though they know exactly what they want to use, solely so that the audience won't know until the actual reveal. In this case I feel like "that chosen person" is supposed to be non-specific and ultimately be revealed to refer to Serafina because she was chosen by the King and favored by most of the other students even though it sounds like it's supposed to be referring to the original game heroine girl and this is all a misdirect so that when Serafina gets the book we can all act surprised. And the real problem is that structuring the sentence/thought that way is just something that doens't work in English the way it does in Japanese.

Wonder how Serafina would "capture" Lucas. Will she invoke his inner yandere :pepehmm:
