What a manga. It’s a classic - it’s sure isn’t even on par with GTO, or the such, but damn will you fall in love with it. The cases aren’t repetitive, it might be a bit too unrealistic - surely just the fact that it’s set in a middle school makes a lot of the scenarios here unlikely. Unfortunately like some other good mangas, it got too good too early - leaving you with a distaste towards the end.
Amazing characters development as you’d expect from these kind of mangas, a likable, brilliant main character that’ll take your breath away with every single page, as he uses his wits to solve each of his students’ problems. There’s no second main character, but the supporting ones feel important enough that it’ll fill the lead cast. Nice usages of characters that've already appeared as well.
One thing keeping it from being a masterpiece is its last chapters. It feels rushed - although the execution leading to the end wasn’t bad, there was still a lot of wasted potential, like the main’s backstory, his development hasn’t even started yet, the
whole S-class ordeal was skimmed over, there were still so many “Hammer Sessions” left, the pacing is erratic, the timing is all over the place, some characters thatve already had their session re-appeared, though still on their wrong ways somewhat, the supporting characters haven’t been fleshed out yet, with the fact that the main character isn’t fleshed-out make the manga feels so... empty.
The ending isn’t satisfactory, it’s a good end yes, but the last 3 chapters itself were sloppily done,...
There are many flaws to this manga, but everything else is a good read. 7/10, I was surprised this manga isn’t that popular(?) in Japan and other parts of the work.
It's a great story though 35 chapters is to soon to judge it's still a classic. I love the romance.. Reminds me of the manga Kurosagi. Suggest you all check that as well but it's darker
