Cool that the author herself actually was gay and not censored/allowed to publish these kinda works in this time period, assuming she didn't tone it down to be like "strong female friendships" /vague enough to where ppl would just say "just gals being pals" or so or treat it as a fleeting feeling/phase ppl are 'allowed' to in their youth before 'moving on' XP
