IDK why people are complaining lul. New character that act as rival love interest is good for a series that has very slow story pacing and not much of a direction. I can't be the only one that actually got bored 30 chapters in because it started to become a little repetitive.

@Xystus actually I'm pretty happy with this, we've had the history quickly and it's an easy character to sympathise with. It's been a cute series up to the drama but repetition DOES set in, yea it's still cute but there needs to be something happening. It's not like they're gonna break up over this, but the kouhai has a lot going on internally so it's relatable. I'm looking forward to it, I highly doubt it's going to be Aoi Hana levels of drama, it's still just cute fluff and they'll just come out stronger on the other side

@Xystus I don't think it is so much as needing a rival but more the fact the unwillingness of the author to move things along and progress the story and their relationship. It has been on a constant repeat of we have to hide our relationship from our friends because they may tease or reject us. If they really are your friends then that won't be a issue and if they do then they are people you don't need in your life in the first place. For so long it has felt like they are playing at being in a relationship than actually being in one. They are second years but act like they are in middle school as far as relationships go.

@Heimdal I don't know about that. Them kissing is certainly a new development. There's been more progress in the last two volumes than in the first three.

Also, hiding their relationship isn't something that needs to be progressed; it's a personal choice. It's nobody's business but their own.

@Heimdal which is why new character is good. Look at what the senpai bring to the story. It lead Nanoha to say it out loud that Chidori is her gf and it eventually lead to them kissing. I'm pretty sure Mai is gonna create anxiety around Chidori and act as a catalyst to strengthen her relationship with Nanoha and maybe come out from her closet later on.
