Loved the translator's note. As a watch nerd, as soon as I saw the image of the movement, I thought to myself, "Hey, it's a bumper-wind movement, and only a few companies made those," so I set out to Google to run some searches, and came up with the JLC 476 / 12A. Then I read the rest of the chapter and saw that the translator had already answered that question. And I especially loved the pedantic observation that JLC never made a sub-seconds version of that movement. Instant follow!
