I can understand where it came from for Hane since all she wanted was her mother attention but Mom of the Year is still trying to escape reality.

Connie in other hand was random and out of nowhere, suddenly became mad and start spouting nonsense that her body hurt so much that she called it a Joy.

But it would be otherwise crazy hilarious since that time Ayano took Elena in a survival exercise cause "it was the only way she could fight Nagisa"...
