I wonder why the guy doesn't go and see the shrine priest for an exorcism, the charms aren't going to be enough.

He can bill the charms to the company as a "research expense" but a full-on exorcism is way too hard to pass off as a legitimate business expense so he'd have to pay out of pocket and no way does he get paid enough for that.
