Imma be honest, Part 2 of Baki is only painful to read because I know the whole last arc sort of sours the rest of it. The Battle with the Prisoners, the Small Kaiou tournament were all good. But, the fact the fact that Kozue entertained Ali Jr's whole show was... well it sort of reduced the whole "Empowerment with love thing" the Part pushed.
Case in point, I would've been happier if Kozue never appeared again. I get the whole "Boys Chase Girls, Women chase men" weird shtick Itagaki was on at the time, but it ruined whatever respect I had for her. worst of all it took so long for her to come back! Baki went to an American Prison, Fought a Cave Man, and she's barely like "Oh hey, he exists" after all this time? It's actually kind of funny, now that I think about it.
