Because it just zoomed through a decently long amount of time. Its something that mostly happens when a thing is cancelled and the author is told they only have a few more chapters to wrap things up.

I'll take your word for it. But I'm also not talking about quality. I think this series is has quality (I love their relationship, for example) but the way its handled some things has always made me wonder how much of an audience it'll maintain. We'll see.
