Hmmm, I don't suspect this will end well for that particular ship (MMC vs FMC). The author is playing it so it seems as if the new guy will become a love interest. At the very least, he's setting things up for him to be a potential rival. I mean if that means Hayami has a better chance I'm cool with that. I'll continue to reserve judgment until the end of this arc.
