Since these guys aren't written as monsters, we they probably won't be doing stuff for the evuls, though whether that is a positive or a negative is a matter of taste.

That part never really sat well with me. Especially the fact that MC's humanity was steadily being eroded by the system he was trapped inside of, and doubly so for the mixed signals we got from the rest of the "monsters" being humanized, only to suddenly turn around and be monsters again.

I actually kinda like this trope, too; I'm sure it's because I busted my ass playing to earn my levels and running MSQ for years (never bought a level for my main, I mean), and so I love the thought of it happening to me.
