And the problem isn't him "being rejected" before, he was a relative of the one she (original story FL) chose, he's a royal (something like a crown prince even), he supported FL, but she still chose the other one, and our ML lost to his relative a girl, but also a title, a country and pride. Also, have you not seen "he was sentenced to death"? He almost died because of this *love* and sweet pancakes she backed him as it's showed on the frame this chapter. And the only reason why he's still alive is that his fortunate rival took a pity and send him away to this land of nothingness. (Why our FL thinks he shouldn't have changed that much, if I'd have to deal with something half this problem like, I'd rather go to war in front row or expedition to new lands or something, just to have a justified opportunity to end it all, considering I'm a fallen crown princess with nothing left)
